Censored is an interactive visual experience focused on the topic of censorship and the visual effect of censor bars in media images. What do we imagine when a part of an image is missing? How do we interpret censored images, and what can we learn from them? The exhibit poses these exact questions to the viewer and encourages reflection. Through examples, it provides clear visualisations, and a voting feature for the displayed images allows for personal assessment while simultaneously enhancing one's visual literacy.
